Chapter Titles
Let's decide what chapters we want to write. I'll include what I remember from our recent discussions:
Equipment - The bare essentials for starting a new bard.
Practicing - Suggested techniques for learning required skills.
Enchantes and Magic - How to work magic skills.
Stats and Training - The importance of each stat.
Special Skills - Bardic practice, whistling, playacting, voice throwing, etc.
Performing - Tips and techniques for effective performances.
Were there any others?

Great idea. I was totally forgetting how lost you feel when you first start. Locations and directions would be excellent.
I started digging into the Stats and Training chapter, and I started laying out some of the basics of stat assignments, and I found myself referring to the PLAY.NET web page for bards (https://www.play.net/dr/info/guilds/bard.asp). And I realized that there already is a pretty good description of where the guilds are (though one is missing) and who the guild leaders are, and some of the abilities that bards get. Since this guide will be on the PLAY.NET web site, we probably don't want to include any redundant information.
So ... let's make sure that our guide doesn't go overboard with information that's already on the web site.
As I started working on it, I realized I have a LOT to say about everything, but there's no way we can include everything. It can't be an all-inclusive guide, we have to keep it to a minimum.
Check out the barbarian's beginner's guide (https://www.play.net/dr/info/guilds/barbbg.asp) and the pallies beginners guide (https://www.play.net/dr/info/guilds/paladinbg.asp). They are each one long web page long, not chapter after chapter of details. So .. let's be brief!
